I love blogging about advertising. I also love exploiting the idiosyncrasies and downright stupidity of my coworkers here at the agency. But I’m out of steam and considering giving up Agency Tart. Haven’t quite decided, but I’m sure after getting liquored up tonight, I’ll have made some kind of decision. Will keep you posted. Will also try not to drunk post, which is almost as bad as drunk texting.

[…] Tart had toyed with ending her blogging career, but decided not to when her readers expressed their intense disappointment with that decision through the comments […]

Please don’t give up Tart. It’s a travesty that your blog was left off the AdAge Power 150. I check it every day, many times a day.
I object to any such notions, that talk is obscene. Wash your mouth out with some brand name soap.
I love it. Don’t stop
Yeah, don’t quit. I need to read stupid emails, and feel better about my approach to booze.
Selfish, sure, but whatever. Don’t give up!
Don’t quit. Just take a sabbatical. Hiatus.
DO NOT QUIT! I love your blog and read it everyday. Sometimes when i’ve had it at my own agency, you’re funny stories are the only thing that get me through the day.
i love love love your blog!
Your blog is the wind in my sails…if you quit blogging then I will have to find something else to take up my time at work…that’s hard to do these days!
Don’t quit! I just added your blog to my iGoogle!
Nooooo…. I only found your blog a month ago.
Noooooo – don’t quit! Your blog is the most entertaining one in the biz!
Ahhh! I drink red wine alone at home every night. Who else understands why?
First the sopranos, now this.
I sensed as much with the recent decrease in activity. Kind of shows what sort of person you are. If you placed a personals ad, it’d read: “Afraid of commitments. Gets bored easily.”
Just try a template change! It’d be like asking your boyfriend to change his wardrobe to better suit you. Or it’d be like asking your boyfriend to get a new haricut to make him look like someone else!
Quitters never win. Winners never quit.
Quit rhymes with Shit – and that’s what you are if you stop blogging.
Friends don’t let friends blog drunk.
And I know you put this note out here like a suicide threat wanting to be talked down from the ledge.
Jump! I dare you!
(That was reverse psychology.)
Your blog is enjoyed the world over. It’s demise will bring sadness. (I am being sarcastic, in a serious way.)
A blog is slowly dying
read from New York to LA
And the children all are crying
The Tart has gone away
Don’t you dare quit. Your pithy observations make me laugh out loud.
I just discovered you, Tart! Don’t do it. It’s the only thing that keeps me sane as I sit in my cube at my own crappy agency.
Say it’s not so. I check your blog every day. Always curious to see what’s what in your life. If you leave where will I go for a daily dose of irreverent?
Don’t quit! This is the most hillarious blog ever!!
Tart,
Your views on the daily realities of advertising (web or otherwise) are crisp and brilliant. It would be a real loss if you chose not to include us all in on your unique view.
This clearly demonstrates the internets aren’t proven, and these blogs are mere passing fancies, fading quickly into the night. Hark! I must put quill to ink and report this wisdom in my local circular.
I have 3 blogs i check daily … yours is the only funny one so you can’t quit!
Definitely quit. Ad-snark blogging is over, and we all know it. You done good while it lasted, though. Shut ‘er down, go to Miami for a a week.
On to web 2.0035.
is is the best thing that happened since the internets, dont kill yourself!
take a sabbatical and come back with more swf stories, i am sure she is more entertaining for you than to write about her here !
and yea drunk posts cant even compare to drunk texts 🙂
Yes, please don’t stop. Your blog helps me realize that there are equal (or maybe a bit lower) levels of stupidity and annoying twats outside of my own agency.
And that alcohol really can solve all of my problems.
😛
Don’t quit…you were my first online crush, you were one of the first ad blogs I read and you were an inspiration to get started blogging.
Yes, if you quit, there will be less actual competition out there but you inspire me, make me laugh and keep me motivated.
Please keep at it.
You make my day.
🙂
I can relate to the desire to quit blogging. It’s like the desire to quit smoking and/or drinking–good for you, but hard to pull off.
Tart,
Don’t go. May you should just take a break and twitter instead?
